About Me

Hello from sunny Southern California! My name is Regina and I'm a blessed wife and mama to a fun-loving 6-year-old boy. Cooking {and eating}, traveling {which usually involves eating}, and photography are my passions! I absolutely LOVE spending hours in the kitchen - it's my happy place where I can wind down, relieve stress, and express my creativity. I was born in Indonesia and my family moved to the United States when I was 11 years old. Traditional Indonesian dishes remind me of my childhood and living in California for the last 30+ years means I get to experience cuisines from diverse cultural backgrounds. I hope to share recipes that my family enjoys, experiment with new recipes/techniques, share my random thoughts, and I'll also throw in the occasional giddiness when I discover new gadgets, tips, and tricks to make life easier -- a must being a full-time working mom!

 

 

About My Little Family

Hubby (Steve) and I said our "I do's" on September 25, 2004. We wanted to start a family right away but sometimes God has a different {better} plan. Colin came into our lives on May 3, 2012. He is our miracle baby through the blessing of open adoption.          I created a blog called "A Vocation of Love" when my husband and I started our adoption journey in 2009. Sadly, my last entry was about a heart-breaking event we experienced in 2011. Here we are in 2018 and I've felt a longing to finish that story for a while now.

May 3, 2018 - on Colin's 6th Birthday, I'm dedicating this new blog. This is a continuation of how far we've come since that day.          I chose the same name for this new blog as a testament to God's love and faithfulness in my life and to live out my Vocation of Love.
